Dr. Laurie Rothman

Dr. Rothman is a board certified family physician who is committed to the health and well-being of her patients. The focus of her practice is general family medicine and the management of obesity and obesity related health problems. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (2011) and a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine (2003).

Dr Rothman received her undergraduate degree from New York University Stern School of Business in 1990. She graduated from the Israel Institute of Technology, Faculty of Medicine, in 1999. Afterwards, she completed a one year internship in Family Medicine at the University of Maryland Medical School in Baltimore, MD. She graduated from an accredited Family Medicine Residency Program at Overlook Hospital (An affiliate of University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey) in Summit, NJ in 2002. She was Chief Resident during her final year of residency. Following her residency training, she stayed on as an attending/teaching physician in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Overlook Hospital.

From 2003 to 2011, Dr Rothman was a family physician at Healthy Families, PA. (formerly Healthy Women). She provides care to adults, adolescents and children over the age of ten. She was a founding provider at the Weight & Wellness Center in Juno Beach, where she treated patients for obesity, overweight and related medical conditions.
Currently, she is seeing patients in her new location at 1201 North Olive Avenue in West Palm Beach. She continues to have a strong interest in women's health, preventive care, obesity medicine and nutrition.
